I received my Bachelor’s degree in global history at the Northeast Normal University in China. At the University of Göttingen, I completed my Master’s degree in Modern Sinology. In the last year of my master’s study, I worked as a student assistant. In 2022, I started to work as a research assistant and a doctoral candidate of Prof. Dr. Axel Schneider at the Department of East Asian Studies.
Currently, I pay more attention to the Buddhist views of our life and the world. In my dissertation project on “the Buddhist notion of Happiness in the late Qing and Republican China, I will combine an intellectual-historical approach with the discourse of “Eastern and Western Civilizations”, more specifically “material civilization and spiritual civilization”, to discover new perspectives of Buddhist “Happiness”.
