Despite these clear patterns, we lack a systematic, empirically grounded interdisciplinary understanding of new civilizationisms. What are the historical genealogies, intellectual […]

Lecture: Realizing Buddhahood in the Human Realm: The Theory and Practice of Humanistic Buddhism

    04. Feb., 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm
    Raum 4.105, Waldweg

Realizing Buddhahood in the Human Realm: The Theory and Practice of Humanistic Buddhism Lecture Series: Buddhism in Modern China 2025/2026 Prof. Dr. 宣方 Humanistic Buddhism (rensheng fojiao) represents […]

Revisiting the Understanding of “the Other” through Thermae Romae II: Implications for Chinese Language Teaching Abstract: Taking the Japanese audiovisual work Thermae Romae II as an example, this talk examines how “the Other” is represented in popular screen media […]

Lecture: 龍居佛地:一位百歲僧人的宗教歷程/ Dragon Dwelling in a Buddhist Land: The Religious Journey of a Centenarian Monk

    18. December 2025, 10:00 am - 12:00 pm
    Online

Titel: 龍居佛地:一位百歲僧人的宗教歷程/ Dragon Dwelling in a Buddhist Land: The Religious Journey of a Centenarian Monk Time:18. December 2025 CET 10:00–12:00 Online Speech via ZooM Register in advance for this meeting: https://uni-goettingen.zoom-x.de/meeting/register/DUk42lG4QpalgCW06b2M9A Abstract:(Chinese Version) Abstract: (English Version) Based on textual sources and interviews, this study recounts the religious experiences of Master Jinghai (1919–2019) of […]
