Arvid Storch studied Foreign Language Teaching and Learning Research as well as Sinology at the University of Hamburg. He has taught German as a foreign and second language at various Goethe-Institut branches and universities and served as Director of Studies at the University of Hamburg’s Confucius Institute for over a decade.
Arvid joined the Department of East Asian Studies as a research associate in December 2025. He is working on the subproject “Aspects of Theoretical and Practical Language Teaching”, which forms part of the BMFTR funded project “Action Research on the Integration of Mobile and Intelligent Language Learning Applications in Chinese Language Teaching at Universities Using Blended Learning”.
