This conference is organized by a Joint Center of Advanced Studies entitled “Worldmaking from Global Perspective: A Dialogue with China.” Funded by the Federal Ministry of Educa-tion and Research (BMBF) since November 2020, the Joint Center is characterized by its highly integrated network system. It brings together scholarly teams from Freie Universit\u00e4t Berlin, Georg-August-Universit\u00e4t G\u00f6ttingen, Ruprecht-Karls-Universit\u00e4t Heidelberg, Ludwigs-Maximilians-Universit\u00e4t M\u00fcnchen and Julius-Maximilians-Universit\u00e4t W\u00fcrzburg. The G\u00f6ttingen part of the project is directed by Prof. Dominic Sachsenmaier and explores the transformation of conceptions of world order between the late nineteenth century and the present.
\nThe Joint Center\u2019s annual conference takes place in G\u00f6ttingen from June 2nd to June 4th, 2022. Two panels and a keynote that deal with China\u2019s place in shifting global orders are available to a wider public, via zoom.<\/p>\n
