WiSe 2019/2020: by appointment
I come from Taiwan, and am currently studying master’s degree in Teaching Chinese as a Second Language (TCSL) at National Taiwan Normal University. And I am a pre-service middle school teacher as well. My recent experience was a Chinese teacher of the summer program held by Department of Asian Studies at The University of British Columbia in 2019. I have also taught Japanese students from Waseda University and used to be a tutor of the Undergraduate Program at the Department of Chinese Language and Culture for International Students at National Taiwan Normal University.
In addition to the experience of teaching undergraduate students, I taught middle school students from Punahou School, Hawaii, USA in the Video-Conferencing Chinese Class, and was a Chinese teaching assistant of K-5 classes at Taipei American School, Taiwan.
My current research interests are Chinese Pragmatics especially focusing on seeing how modern audio-visual media serve as Chinese learning facilitators.
