Since November 2016 she is a instructor and doctoral candidate at the Department of East Asian Studies of the University of Göttingen.

Wang Yan studied German, Chinese as a Foreign Language at the Shandong University and Peking University.

From 2012 to 2016 Wang Yan was a lecturer of Chinese language at the Confucius Institute at the Free University Berlin.

  • Since 2016: Assistant professor at the Department of East Asian Studies at the University of Göttingen; Beginning a PhD research project in the field of Chinese Language Teaching.
  • 2012-2016: Hanban lecturer at the Confucius Institute at the Free University of Berlin.
